MT5 Trade Copier — Netting & Hedging, Sub-Second Local

Platform Guide   MetaTrader 5 trade copying, including netting and hedging

MetaTrader 5 is where more brokers and prop firms are moving, and it copies differently from MT4 because of how it models positions. HFT Forex Copier is a locally installed MT5 trade copier that replicates trades in real time between MT5 accounts, including both netting and hedging accounts, and bridges MT5 to MT4, cTrader and FIX API.

What it does: place a trade on one MT5 account (the master) and HFT Forex Copier mirrors it onto your other accounts (the slaves) in a fraction of a second, translating correctly between MT5’s netting and hedging models. The master and slaves can be at different brokers, on different platforms, and sized independently, all running locally on your Windows machine or VPS.

The MT5 difference: netting vs hedging

This is the one thing an MT5 copier must handle that an MT4 copier never has to. MT4 gives every trade its own ticket (hedging only). MT5 supports two account types:

  • Hedging accounts behave like MT4: independent positions, long and short at the same time.
  • Netting accounts keep one net position per symbol: a new opposite order reduces or flips the existing position rather than opening a second one.

Copy a hedging master onto a netting slave without translation and the positions drift apart fast. HFT Forex Copier reconciles the two models so the slave ends up in the intended market exposure whichever type each account is. If you are copying from MT4, the same conversion applies; see the Copiador de operaciones MT4 page.

Check before you copy: know whether each MT5 account is netting or hedging. It changes how partial closes, reversals and multiple entries on the same symbol are replicated.

Other MT5-specific things a copier has to get right

MQL5 expert advisors on the master only

As with MT4, an MQL5 EA can run once on the master and mirror plain trades to slaves that do not run the EA. Manual trades copy the same way.

Symbol suffixes and multi-asset symbols

MT5 brokers use their own suffixes (EURUSD.i, EURUSD.r) and MT5 also carries indices, metals and, at some brokers, stocks and futures. HFT Forex Copier maps symbols between master and slave so the right instrument is traded, and lets you exclude asset classes you do not want copied.

Position sizing and partial fills

Per-slave sizing (fixed, multiplier, balance-proportional or risk-based) keeps a trade sized for a large master from breaching a smaller slave, and partial closes on a netting position are replicated proportionally.

Why run the MT5 copier locally

A cloud copier routes your MT5 trades through a shared server, adding latency on every trade and placing your credentials on a third party’s machine. A local MT5 copier runs beside your terminals, so the copy step is typically under a millisecond and nothing leaves your control. For prop accounts it also keeps you from being grouped with other users by IP. The measured breakdown is in the cloud vs local benchmark.

Features that matter for MT5 copying

Netting/hedging translation

Copy correctly between netting and hedging accounts in either direction.

Imitation manual trading

Place copied orders like a human rather than as identical instant mirrors.

Hidden stop-loss / take-profit

Keep SL and TP off the broker server and trigger them locally.

Filters & reverse

Copy only chosen symbols, sizes or magic numbers, or mirror in reverse.

Who uses an MT5 trade copier

Setting it up

  1. Install on Windows or a VPS. Put the copier beside your MT5 terminals; instant download after purchase.
  2. Assign master and slaves and note account types. Pick the leader and followers, and mark which are netting or hedging.
  3. Set sizing, mapping and filters. Configure per-slave rules and symbol maps, then trade.

The full walkthrough is in the guía de configuración, and you can watch copying happen in the interactive simulator.

Can I copy between MT5 netting and hedging accounts?

Yes. HFT Forex Copier reconciles the two models so the slave reaches the intended exposure whether each account is netting or hedging.

Can I copy MT5 to MT4?

Yes. MT5 trades copy to an MT4 slave, with the position model translated so a netting MT5 master maps onto MT4’s hedging tickets correctly.

Does the slave need my MT5 expert advisor?

No. The MQL5 EA runs on the master only; slaves receive ordinary orders.

How does it handle different symbol suffixes on MT5?

It maps symbols between master and slave, so EURUSD, EURUSD.i and EURUSD.r are matched to the correct instrument on each account.

Can I use an MT5 copier with a prop firm?

For copying between your own accounts, usually yes, but confirm each firm’s rules first. See which prop firms allow copy trading.

¿Hay una prueba gratuita?

Yes, a 10-day trial with full features. See current pricing and start on the shop page.
